Her death is registered in Paisley Renfrewshire in 1959 as Margaret Merry/ McIlwraith. She shows as age 48 so born c. 1911. As with your other query, you are outside the period where you can view anything on line :-\

But she did marry Hugh just before the SP cut off for marriages :D You can view her marriage cert on SP in 1931 at Maryhill Glasgow. The cert will include her parents' names and Hugh's to let you trace them both back.

Hi Jan,
When asking for help, it's always best to give all the details you know from the certificates. In this case, who were the parents of Margaret Merry and Hugh McIlwraith? What age were they when they married in 1931? It's also handy to include the witnesses' names as these can point to family members.

This is part of my family Tree, My Grandad was Andrew Merry and his Father was Andrew Merry who was the son of George and Euphemia Merry (nee Dunn). George was the son of Mary Allan and Peter Merry. It think Peters parents were called John Merry and Ann (nee Smith) but I cant find a lot about them. Do they appear on anyone elses lists?
Thanks and hi to my distant cousins out there xxxx
