Ger.
It is an Area!
Put 'Horncliffe, Rawtenstall, Lancashire' in a Google search & it comes up with a Map showing Where about it is!
Also, it mentions a 'Horncliffe Mansions'!

Hi
Horncliffe was a large house on the side opf the A56 between Rawtenstall and Edenfield. It was at one time an old peoples home. I think it has been demolished. There is a photo in JohnSimpson's book 'A history of Edenfield and District'.

found out now from the 1911 census that the family who lived there at the time were Rawlinsons. Does anyone know anything about them? My gran Kate Griffith was there as a servant on the census and her sister. The Rawlinsons had 3 children at the time Neville,Ida and Uzita.
