Hi
I'm trying to find passenger lists of arriving immigrants from the nearest port of Stettin, Germany circa 1870... would appreciate any possible pointers!
Persons name is William Frederick Augustus Rosenbaum, born 1837 from Stettin Germany.
thanks

Hi Justin
As I know there aren't any passenger lists from Europe to the UK.
I think the name Rosenbaum sounds jewish, if he was
jewish you should have a look at the following webiste:

Best regards

Hello Svenja and Justin,
Rosenbaum is a very Jewish surname. However, the three very German forenames would suggest otherwise.
Although many German Jews at that time did have German names, they did not have three.

Probably this place, now in Poland:

He could have gone from there (and changed at another port?) or maybe overland to Hamburg or Bremen. Particularly since if he was 30-ish when he emigrated he could have moved away from his home town looking for work. There are outgoing records for Hamburg but those from Bremen do not survive.
