Title: McGillicuddy/McCurdy to New Zealand
Post by: Rukiez on Wednesday 14 April 04 03:13 BST (UK)
I have been searching for a Buell? McGillicuddy or McCurdy who came to New Zealand from Scotland either mid 1800's or late 1800's He did however returned to Scotland later on.  I have been told that he was a doctor but have had no luck in finding any information ???   So any help on where to look would be much appreciated
Regards

Hello Rukiez,

If he was a doctor, he would have been registered with the British Medical Association. They published directories every couple of years or so sometimes with quite a bit of information on their members.

Have you managed to find him on any Census returns, maybe you have caught him on the 1881 Census ?
