If anyone has the baptism records for St. Michaels Church Macclesfield
could you please look for WILLIAM MILLWARD baptised 5th August 1804
and THOMAS MILLWARD baptised 16 Jan 1797
Parents names were William and Sarah Millward
I am wanting to know if they were brothers, any other information, addresses, surnames of Sarah etc., would be very helpful.
Thanks Tilly

Hi Tilly
You will probably be delighted to learn that the Cheshire Parish Registers from 1538-1907 are available to browse on the Family Search pilot site. The registers for St Michaels in Macclesfield are there.

Happy searching.

Thank you Ruby
That site is just what I was looking for, I had not come across that part of Family Search.
Unless I am missing something it does not show up St. Michaels Church Macclesfield, as yet, hopefully that will be listed soon.
Bye Tilly :)

Hi Tilly and Celia
St Michael's, Macclesfield is there. Try this link and see if it works.
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#w=;p=2;c=1469935;t=browsable
If it doesn't - click on the Europe part of the world map on the Family Search pilot site and then click on Cheshire, Church of England Records 1538-1907. You will then be presented with a list of parishes, scroll down until you come to Macclesfield, St Michael's and then click Parish Records which should be displaying on the right hand side. Look for the year and type of record you are seeking and then you will have to work your way through the copies of the original records until you come to the date you are looking for.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Tilly
there isn't a button ;D
when you are logged in,go to your first post, then add,to the subject line, after Macclesfield, (COMPLEATED) Then just click post.
By the way I think you must have to be on broadband before you can get the above site.I tried it again and got a down loading thingy but was taking to long

Hello Celia, thanks for the button info, I am sure it must clog up the system when you see so many
OLD requests.
I found another way into the FamilySearch.org site which may be of help,
If you go to their home site, down the right hand side is mentioned the pilot site, click on there and you are in.
And yes we are on Broadband.
Bye, Tilly
