Title: Joseph Brown c1776 - 1841 lookup pls

Hi would be grateful if anyone could look up any details on the 1841 census for a Joseph Brown c1776 possibly pensioner of  Greenwich Hospital married to a Mary c774.

Hello, Chezz,

Looking for anything in the 1841 census for Joseph Brown without any info on him,i e. place of birth or possible district is an almost impossible task, there are so many to choose from.

As you say he was a Greenwich Hospital pensioner this means he was probsbly in the Navy as all navy pensions were paid  thro' the hospital.  Have you tried the Natinal Archives site for any info ?   try this one.
