Hello Phillip :)
I remember what it was like to be new to the site ;) Don't worry everyone is very kind and helpful on all the Boards. ;D....but there is also a chat room you can use. ;)
We appear to have a lot of names in common, but I fear mine are later dates than yours.
I am going to contact you by personal message (PM), I think you have to make three posts here before you can PM me back, so please acknowledge that you have seen this post.
Once we establish a connection somewhere, we can carry on the search here in case others members have those names in their Tree's.
Once you have logged into the site you will see at the very top of the page that you have a message waiting , although you should receive an email informing you that a message is waiting first.

My g grandfather, John Henry REYNOLDS came to New Zealand from Cornwall in 1872 to lay the railway in Picton. His wife Mary (nee THOMAS) followed with 4 children in 1873. They were all from the St Gluvias / Penryn area. I have a letter written from John to Mary urging her and the children to come to NZ that was published in the London Times in Nov. 1872. I also have quite a bit of information about this family in NZ if you want to follow it up. John and Mary's daughter Mary Ann married a Watson and one of their sons was my grandfather. John and Mary's other daughter Maria married a Morgan and their daughter Violet was my grandmother (i.e. my grandparents were 1st cousins)

Hi Ambers, Just registered as I see you have two names I'm puzzled about. They are not my family... I'm looking for an adopted child from 65 years ago for another person.
This is probably a false lead but puzzles me. Am I allowed to give you my email address? I don't like to pass details of people from fairly recent past.
-
Hi Sally,
This sounds interesting :)
We are not allowed to give email addy's on the Forum, we have to use PM system.
You have to make three posts to be able to use PM system, not sure how many posts you have made so reply to this post to build them up if you haven't.
