can anyone please look up WHITESIDE family in Barrow in 1851..there should be Elizabeth and her children...saw it in the surname index...many thanks

James Whiteside, S, 10, scholar, LAN Swatewad(?)
Henry Whiteside, S, 6, scholar, LAN Swatewad
Bridget Whiteside, D, 4, LAN Swatewad
Mary A. Whiteside, D, 2, LAN Swatewad.

There was also a Peter Whiteside a few doors down at 80 Barrow. Folio 210, page 26.
Peter Whiteside, Lodger, U, 28, Blacksmith, LAN Litham (?) (probably Lytham like Elizabeth)

no idea what the swatewad means either but it should be Fleetwood.

i am assuming you have this record on disc or microfiche....is there any chance you could send a  copy of that page to me as an attachment?

Sorry, I don't have these records in original format.  My census transcript is typewritten in booklet form by the Cumbria FHS and I copied the entry as it read, question marks and all.
