Title: Ferry 1901 Census Leith
Post by: des_enzano on Tuesday 23 September 08 19:08 BST (UK)
I have a Hugh Ferrier of 41 Bowling Green Street Leith in the 1901 Census. Looking for other Ferriers, Ferrys or Ferries born in Ireland between 1864 and  1874 but living in Leith. If anyone has access to this information I would be very grateful for a copy.

I'm researching Ferry's from Co.Donegal.
You may find your Hugh Ferry's birth - on the following
Co.Donegal Site.

Thanks Anne, I had looked previously at the Donegal Genealogy Resources site but without luck. Since seeing your message I have looked again in case I missed anything the first time but still nothing.
Are you related to the Donegal Ferrys?

HI George, I'm doing some research for a McClafferty friend
whose Grandparents were Neil & Susan Ferry (ms Gillespie)
think from Drumnaraw - def. the Creeslough /Dunfanaghy area.
Most of Neil & Susan's family emigrated to Philadelphia PA.

I do believe that most of the families in Donegal are
related in some way or another.

Tonight I've just uncovered a McGinaly connection...

Do you know which Parish your Ferry's where from?

Regards
Anne

Anne, sorry about the delay in replying to your post. There is a possibility that my Ferrys came from Dunlewey but I won't know for certain until further research is carried out.

Good luck with your research.
