I am seeking information regarding Mary Kennedy, born approximately 1895 and her sister ,Margaret , born approximately 1898. Both girls were born in County Clare. The 1901 census of Templmaley electoral district , Kilcurrish, records them as living with their grandparents, Margaret and Michael Lyons. I am interested in the identify of their parents and any other information. I believe these girls are cousins of my grandmother. Any information would be much appreciated.

Birth certificate should give the names of both parents (unless illegitimate in which case the father will not be listed).

I believe that these girls were the children of a Michael Kennedy, who also had a son Patrick Kennedy born in 1894 and who died in 1978. Their mother was Lyons who died when they were young and hence they were reared with their grandparents and registered as living with them in the 1901 census.

I did not know know about Patrick. I believe Margaret, Mary and Patrick are cousins of my grandmother, whose father was a Lyons from Kilcurrish. What was the first name of Margaret , Mary and Patrick's mother? Do you know the siblings of their mother? Any other information most appreciated.

BRIDGET KENNEDY, b. Kilcurrish Fountain Ennis.

I did not know of a Bridget Kennedy, is there a date of birth..??
Incidentally PARTICK KENNEDY, b. 12 Apr 1896, Kilcurrish Fountain Ennis; died 13th November 1978.
I think Mary (May) died in around 1965.

Born in Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare. Enlisted in Ennis, County Clare while living in Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare. Killed in Action in Gallipoli. Grave or Memorial Reference: Panel 185 to 190. Memorial: Helles Memorial in Turkey.
