Title: Damaged Photo...Any Hope? :o(
Post by: Farrantfinder on Saturday 20 September 08 23:32 BST (UK)
HI  :)
I was wondering if there was anything that could be done with this photo? It's the only one I managed to get of my grandmother and would be very happy if anyone could do anything. I'm not too bothered about the tears and crumples just mainly the stain across her face.  Please help  :-*

Thank you so much for the offer, but the original photo was Black & White and I was only wanting the pen marks removed and fingerprints etc. I am amazed at the generosity of the people on this website.

To restorer45, I am still trying to work out how to reply to your message, so I hope that this finds you !!

Your are very welcome.

I already have the photo colorized with a new artistic background to give it a more formal appearance.

Given you original request, I will not post the colorized version on rootschat.

All the best,

MC

Hi everyone :)

Unfortunately Rootschat does not have a time limit on the activity of posts, so all I can suggest is that you make sure you check the date of the original post before you start work on a photo.

There are dozens of new ones being added every day for you to spend your efforts on  ;) :D

This appears to be a crossed thread here.  I think Gussy2 has accidentally responded on this thread to a PM from Restorer45.

Gussy2 has a separate thread regarding a black and white photo with biro markings all over it, to which unless I'm mistaken, is the photo that is being referred to and not the one on this thread.

This thread belongs to Farrantfinder and was created in September 2008!   Restorers currently posting on here may not get a response from Farrantfinder if this person does not get notifications there are new postings here.

Not sure why this thread was resurrected in the first place, four years later!  :o

Oh dear, what a mess...no more posts, please, people!  If Farrantfinder wants this thread resurrected, they can send me a PM, but I'm locking this now because it's all getting a bit silly  ;)
