Is there anybody out there who can give me some information on Janet Petterson Curry Wallace AITKEN (married John CAMERON). She was possibly born around 1896 and I am looking for information on her parents, grandparents etc. Thankyou.

Do you know when/where she married? Is this an Australian family like your others? (You should post on the Australian board if it is).
That's a lot of interesting middle names - are they possible family names, or do they refer to multiple marriages for Janet?
For immigrants/emigrants the absolute minimum amount of info needed is 1) where they came from, 2) where they went, 3) when they went.

Thanks jorose, I'm not sure where Janet AITKEN was born. John Cameron (husband) was born in Australia but his ancestors were born in Scotland, so there is a possibility she could be from Scotland too or her ancestry.

Which part of Australia did they live in? First thing to do would be to try and locate their marriage, and Janet's death certificate.

I don't know when they were married but I have found out that Janet Aitken was born 11 February 1896 and died 14 March 1962. John Cameron was born possibly in Brisbane. They had a child John in 1926 so it is possible they were married around that time. This 1926 John was born in Melbourne so that is confusing me a little.
