This is of my paternal grandparents and their children. As well as improving the photo, is it possible to have one of my grandfather on his own out of it. It's the only photo I have of him as he was killed in WW1.

Here's hoping.

Hi Pauline
Can you rescan the photo at all? If you are able to, can you make sure your scanner is set to 300 ppi (refer scanning tut at top of the board). This pic is scanned at 100 ppi and as such, doesn't give us much quality to work with.
I have given it a quick tidy but haven't created one of just your grandfather as I would prefer to have a better scan to work with, and you will end up with a better quality photo that could be enlarged when printed.
If you can't rescan then I'll create a seperate one of your Granddad with the one already posted.
Cheers

Hi Caz,
Thanks for that. I'll see what I can do when I can get the original from my sister as regards rescanning. This one was emailed to me.

Hi Dave and Jim
Thanks for your efforts - much appreicated. I'm waiting to get the original photo from my sister, and then I will try scanning it at a higher definition.

I've now got the original photo and rescanned at 300dpi. Here's hoping some body can sort it our for me, and extract my Grandfather on his own.

Those of Grandad are great. What I'm going to do is display his medals and a commerative scroll, and I really wanted a photo of him alone to go with it.
Thanks so much for your time all.
