Can anyone make out the occupation of James Vowles in the following census

1851  Somerset , Barrow Gurney.
H.O.  107/1946

If is James vowles abt 1801 he is a Cart Haulier not 100% on that need to compare handwriting.

LOL - theres 3 in Barrow Gurney - OK, one is a tad young ...   ;)

The older chap is on Parish Pay

The 50 year old version is a Haulier ...
