I'm not sure if I was clear in my first reply - there were three step children. Maria, Harriet and William were all Ahern.

Sorry Jen - My fault, I didn't read it correctly.
Thanks again

Hello Jen - Sorry about this, I have been able to show Minnies mother in law the result
of your help. As we discussed it she noticed something I had missed
Minnie was born in 1890 ! ???
So she would have been eleven in 1901.
Is it possible to search again for Southsea and Portsmouth.
I feel very stupid.
Best wishes

Jen gives a reference for the 1891 census (RG12) so Minnie is the correct age for that date.
But apparently, James Robinson did not marry Maria Ahern until Dec qtr 1903 Portsmouth RD 2b 1154.

Hello - Little Nell, I am sorry about my confusion. Thank you for the
explanation.
Is it possible to ask about the 1901?
I will now write out 1000 times. "I must make questions clearer."
Thank you very much.

Hello Nell - Thank you very much.
I think we can now call this completed. Thank you. I now have to explain
to Minnies daughter that there is a skeleton in her closet.
Really very kind of you, thanks again.

Hello Jack.
I'm researching the Robinson family of Portsmouth and have Minnie, together with her parents James Richard Robinson and Maria Ahearn, in my direct family tree.
Want to swop notes?
Regards
Jan
