I am unable to save images from the Familysearch.org Pilot Site. When I click on the save button, the screen goes gray for a moment but nothing more; no image is saved. I have tried with the Texas death certificates and the 1855 Wisconsin State Census. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

erato - just tried an experiment with an entry on the Cheshire parish registers. I did the search & was offerred two links - I selected one & then chose ".". From there I used the green "save " arrow & it worked (as j.peg file).
I expect that's what you've tried, already - frustrating things, computers aren't they?
-
I have tried several and they all work.
When my screen goes grey I get a dialogue box with the option as to where to save. If you are not seeing this box is it hiding under another window?

Maybe it's my antique computer. I'll try again at the office and see what happens.

It works OK at the office so I assume there is a problem with Adobe Flash Olayer at home. I guess IŽll be saving some images in betwen legitimate work.

There is no green 'save' arrow showing for my search.
When I click 'save as' for this, there is no choice of
saving as j.peg, only txt and html. which then can't be opened.
Is it my computer or is there another answer?

This is probably a 'silly' suggestion, but have you tried just doing a screen dump?

... and that is ?

I'll see what I can do with this method of saving.

Erato,
Do you by chance have "pop-up blocker" turned on? If pop-up blocker is turned on and the image is not showing at all because Flash Player is too old on your computer, you will not get prompted to upgrade your Flash Player. Also, if pop-up blocker is turned on and you ARE getting the image to appear, this could explain why you do not get the "save" pop-up window (dialogue box as Suttonrog refers). If you are using Internet Explorer, pop-up blocker is found under the Tools menu.
