Title: Thomas McCormack
Post by: mcorb on Wednesday 10 September 08 13:41 BST (UK)
Does anyone have any information on Thomas McCormack born 18/5/1885 at Camlachie. He married Elizabeth Dunnigan Connell in 1906  and after she died in 1911 he had a  relationship with Marion McKinlay (Dickson ).  I believe there were several  children  Marion b1917 , Thomas b1917 and  Jane (Jeannie ) b1922. I can't find any record of his death anywhere in Scotland

On Scotlands People there are only two Thomas McCorm*k deaths listed between 1922-1975/1985, have you checked these out?

Thanks Cammy. I found 3 listings on Scotlands People which I checked out. There are also several with an alternative spelling which I have not done so far.

Hi mccorb.

I think you're going to have to eliminate or not the ones with alternative spelling unless SKS is going to Park Circus or Edinburgh and will look it up for you.

Cheers,
Cammy

Hi Cammy

I've checked out Scotlands People again and all the entries on the alternative spelling have no image to view. Looks like a visit to Park Circus will be necessary. Thanks again for your help.

Have you tried checking Marion McKinlay's death certificate for details? She died 1937 in Springburn, aged 48. It may be Thomas registered her death. If not, he still may be mentioned. :)

Hi Hume 24

I have looked at Marion McKinlay's death certificate. The person registering the death was called Thomas Millar who was described as " occupier " I think that relates to her last known address at High Street as I believe the place of death which  shown as 133 Balornock Road is now Stobhill Hospital.
