John Malloch married Margaret Bell in England c 1839 but had 3 children in Dumfries.
(Alexander 1840 Eng., David 1842 Eng., Jane 1842 Eng., Robert, John 1848 Eng.)
Thomas 1850 Kirkpatrick, Juxta, Dumfries, William and Agnes - twins 1854 Dumfries.
Is anyone able please to find the family in any census? I think Margaret might be dead by 1860 when the family emigrated to Ontario, Canada. On the Canadian 1861 census John is listed as a widower.
I am trying to check whether the father John was born in Dumfries or Inchture.
Thanks,
Pam

I would recommend you go to http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/
to find wee Thomas' birth. That cert which will cost £1.20 to see (20p search and £1 cert) though you have to pay £6 for a session this gets you 5 searches and certs.
Thomas' birth will give you the where and when for their marriage if you need that.
Sio your answer is Inchture.
Hope that helps,
Pam
