Title: John Milum c 1791 ?Ewhurst

Hi,
if anyone has access to parish records from the late 18th century in Ewhurst I would be grateful for a lookup for John Milum.

I have him as born around 1791 possibly in Ewhurst.  By 1814 he had moved to Kent and then onto Ockley in Surrey by 1816.

Hi there,

You appear to have a choice of two -these are from the BVRI2

John Milham bapt 3 Aug 1787 Ewhurst parents James & Mary
John Milham bapt 12 Oct 1794 Ewhurst parents John & Hester

But searching a little more, there are also the following entries:
(boy) Millham bapt 28 Oct 1791 parents James & Hester
Thomas Milham bapt 24 Jan 1793 parents James & Hester
James Milham bapt 20 Jun 1802 parents James & Hester
William Millham bapt 18 Jun 1809 parent James & Esther

I think there may be a mistake in the transcript for the 1794 entry and it would be worth checking the original.

Ewhurst, East Sussex,  15 Jan 1787:
James MILHAM m  Esther SERGEANT
 
Udimore, East Sussex,  10 Feb 1787:
James MILLHAM, Widr Northiam m Mary BURGESS, otp (B)
