Hi Sharon,
From the 1881 Cencus, the family were at Bow Street in Coldingham:
Alexander COWE, Head, Ag. Lab., age 42, born Coldingham
Agnes COWE, Wife, age 33, born Lauder
Isabella COWE, daughter, scholar, age 12, born Coldingham
Agnes COWE, daughter, scholar, age 10, Coldingham
Mary COWE, daughter, scholar, age 8, born Colidingham
James COWE, son, scholar, age 6, born Coldingham
Georgeina COWE, daughter, age 4, born Coldingham
Alexander COWE, son, age 2, born Coldingham
Gullielma COWE, daughter, age 3 months, born Coldingham
I was intrigued that after I had searched for her birth on SP, she wasn't to be found . . . . ? Turns out she's listed as EULIELMA COWE!!!
Info from Birth Certificate is as follows:
Born on 10th February 1881 at 11.00 p.m. at Coldingham (no address shown)
Parents: Alexander Cowe, General Labourer and Agnes Cowe (nee Leckie)
They married on Deceber 4th, 1868 at Coldingham
If you were to download the Marriage Certificate for Alexander & Agnes, you'd then be back another generation as both their sets of parents will be listed.
There's a e-mail on it's way to you.
