Title: Justinian Richards
Post by: colleena on Thursday 28 August 08 13:34 BST (UK)

Hi

I am looking for a marriage for Justinian Richards in Cornwall around 1880,
I have searched the marriage indexes but have come up with noting

There is a marriage in Bodmin in Dec 1870 but that's not the one as Justinian would have been to young, and his wifes name on the census of 1891, and 1901 is Amy,

I am hoping someone has come across this couple in their research and could help :) :)

Regards Colleen

Hi Deb

The information I was given, Amy was born Amey Lee 1859 Bodmin, I have ordered the birth certificate to confirm her parents, I can only find amey in the 1861 census and Justinain not before 1891,

other children to marriage were Lavinia and Flossie

I think you are right about Amy Lee...

she was born 1859 ,Bodmin but is on 1861 as born  Lanlivery ...which def. ties up with Amy who married Justinian.

I can't see her in 1871 either ...will keep looking

I have a Justinian Richards in my tree.
He was born around 1801 and lived in Port Isaac.
His father was William Richards.
They were mariners.

I'm a descendant of Justinian's brother, Valentine Powel.

Is this the same family?

Thanks!
Jennifer
