I've managed to trace my wife's family back to William H Mouncer (born 1855 in Westminister) but I've can't seem to get back any further.
Has anyone ever come across this person in their research? Apparently he married a Caroline Hall in Bethnal Green in 1874 and had the following children:
Mary A Mouncer born c1874
Joseph Henry Mouncer born c1875
Caroline A Mouncer born c1877
William H Mouncer born c1879
Elizabeth Mouncer born c1881

do you have the marriage cert - that would give William's fathers name and occupation - there are a couple of possibilities in 1861/71 but badly transcribed
Looks like caroline had remarried by 1891 -is that the family
