Can anyone help and tell me who it was and where?
Just to give you all a bit of a laugh, this Aaron's father was also called Aaron b 1852/53/died 1910, he married a woman called.......wait for it....Elizabeth BALL in 1873...Fabulous wedding certificate..MYCOCK and BALL..... :o
If anyone can shed any more light on these Mycocks it would be terrific.

Unfortunately the latest available census is 1901 therefore you'd have to purchase Ernest Edward's birth certificate to check his parents (or wait for the release of the 1911 census!)
:)
(Hi again Geoff! We keep meeting these days :D)

Hi I am part of the Mycock clan! Lots of data is held by Ken Mycock whose contact details are under the The Guild of One Name Studies website - and he has many of the family lines logged. My line moved from Manchester to the North East. Regards Deb

And where is/was South Street in Sheffield?
There were 2 South Streets in Sheffield:
South Street, Moor
This is now known simply as 'The Moor' and is one of the main shopping streets in Sheffield.
South Street, Park
That is, in the Park area of Sheffield. This road still exists on the hillside to the east of the main Railway Station.

I think the 'Carhole St' addresses are probably Carlisle Street (I have not seen the original). This is long enough to have had lots of courts. Court 21 was one of several between Kirk St and Gower Street. There is always the possibilty of confusion with Carlisle St East, a continuation of Carlisle St, separately numbered, and also with lots of courts.
