Hello all :)
I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to do an Electoral Roll look up for me please?
The lady's name is Ruth Sylvia Howell and she appears on the 1936 Electoral Roll for Swan District, Western Australia (her husband is Frederick Sydney Howell).
I came across the entry on the Australian ancestry site but I cannot view the image because I am not a member.
Many thanks for reading my message and do hope someone can help me out :)

Hello Jenn
Many, many thanks for the information that you have given me for Ruth and Frederick Howell - it is definitely the lady I am researching (my grandfather's first wife) :)
Could I possibly ask if you know what "Flendfair/Glendfair" relates too?
Thank you for posting a reply so quickly too :)
Kindest regards
Tanya

I would hazard a guess and say it was the name of the property

Hi,
This link to search WA post Office directories.
http://www.slwa.wa.gov.au/index.html
I do note in from a look through the directories that F. S. Howell is listed as being a farmer at KOORDA in 1935 -6 and in 1936-7.
From 1938-9 on to 1943, he is not listed.
Of course, this directory does not show the wife. ;D
You may like to search further.

Thank you very much Jenn and Sue for your replies this morning :)
My husband was also wondering if it could have been the name of a property - it's super when there is more information to add to the tree and to start finding out where they were living during the 'blank' years that we have.
Thank you Sue for so kindly looking through the PO directories for me and letting me know that Frederick is listed during 1935-37 - I haven't seen those before so I am off to get a cup of coffee and sit browsing through the link you have provided (somehow I don't think I will get round to the housework today ;D).
Once again, thank you both very much for all your help - it's greatly appreciated.
Tanya
