Title: Saunt family - Sapcote et al

Hello all,

done much geographical trawling!  Still looking!

Any further help appreciated - I have Thomas Saunt (1760-1844) married to Joyce Wood (1762-1836) One of their sons was John Saunt (1800-1867).  In 1841 John was in Sapcote.

Can anyone help with Thomas' or Joyce's parents or advice on next steps?

I would have thought your Thomas Saunt is likely to be the one bp.27/12/1759 St. Helen, Sharnford, Leics., son of William and Hannah - Sharnford is a neighbouring parish to Sapcote where Thomas married.

Other children born to William and Hannah were:

William bp.20/12/1745 Sharnford
John bp.18/9/1749 Sharnford
Thomas bp.11/2/1753, buried 2/3/1758
Ann bp.1/1/1755 bur.2/3/1758
Thomas bp.27/12/1759
Allen bp.21/3/1762

From the name of the last child the marriage of parents could be the William Saunt and Hannah Allen who married 11/10/1743 Misterton, Leics.
