Hi, I am looking for info. on this family particulary a baptism for a William Hollinshead born approx 1801 in Newport. He married an Elizabeth ? I think his parents were a John 30 Oct 1786 and Mary. I don't think they are anything to do with the Shifnal Hollinshead's I have looked on the IGI and cannot find out much more. Also looking for a baptism for William's son also William born approx 1840 also Newport. Thanks Wendy.

Hi Sue, Thanks for the reply. Yes I had actually found that record . Do we know who John Trevit is ? I haven't found many more records though so this is where I am getting stuck. William died between 1841 and 1851 as Elizabeth is a widow in 1851. so I can't find his place of birth . Thanks again Wendy.

Hi and sorry I haven't replied before .
I am afraid all my Hollinsheads were from Newport and not Shifnal. But thanks for trying Wendy.

Hi, I have lots of info on Hollinsheads and will be happy to email it to you.
John.

Hi again,
The Hollinsheads of Newport are a brance line from the Hollinsheads of Shifnal who are decended from Hugh of Heywood.
-
Hi John Thanks for your reply,
My Hollinshead's were in Stafford when I first came across them. Their parents were however born in Newport. I have a William and Susan who were born 1840. William's parents were William and Elizabeth. I think William was born in 1801 but haven't found a baptism for him.
I was told that the family were in Lilleshall before Newport I have a John 1786 and Mary. I have them in Lilleshall for three generations before which they were in Gnosnall. I don't have any prove that this is the right branch.
Any help much appreciated. Who is Hugh of Heywood?
Wendy.

Hello Wendy,
