Title: trying to find a needle in a haystack!!!!!!!!!
Post by: dizziebee on Tuesday 12 August 08 14:36 BST (UK)
I am looking for a missing needle, could anyone look in their haystacks for it for me  :D
Seeking a marriage record
Area: possibly HANHAM
Groom: William HASKINS
Bride: Elizabeth
Yearage: who can tell these days but maybe around 1780-1799

(not much to go on, and am starting to regret being born into this ellusive family)

If one or both were of the R.C. persuasion, thinking them a needle in a haystack would be expected because very few RC church records have been filmed and their data extracted by the LDS.  I believe there was a papal pronouncement about LDS baptisms of the dead quite recently.

Regards

Hi dizziebee,

A bit of a long shot maybe but I came across this marriage while going through my transcripts:-

William Haskins (otp) & Elizabeth Horney (otp)
23rd March 1788 at St James, Bristol - Banns

St James is, I believe, about four miles from Hanham  ???
