I think this is a great picture. The teenagers look like teenagers today. Most look about 15 or so to me. Anyone agree? I think one of them may be my great uncle, because it was in my great aunts photo collection.
Does anyone have an idea of what year this might be? The men's collars are very specific. The photo would have been taken in Illinois.
What is on the forehead of the girl who is sitting?
Thanks for your opinions.

Hi Lynn,
I am only guessing I could say it is between 50's and 60's. Going by skirt the girl sitting down is wearing, with the thing on her head. :)
As for what she is wearing on her head ...... can either be a new hairstyle, or eye shades ... you know the ones airplanes gives us. :)
But someone else might be more eagle eyed and come up trumps ;D

The Shirts that the boys are wearing, are called Giraffe Neck Tab shirts, they are from the 60's, I know I had one ;D ;D ;D

I am thinking it was anywhere from the 1910's to the 1930's, because of the photo paper it was on. 1960's is too late for this picture, but the style of shirt may have had a come back then.
It is possible that one of the boys is my uncle George, who was born in 1902, but I am not sure if it is him.

Well they say fashion comes round every 30 years or so,so if the boys shirts were about in the 60's(can't say I remember them myself- it was all Beatles stuff where I was ;D) then maybe this was the 30's.

Those 2 1/4" stiff collars became popular about 1905 on and lasted into the 30's.I think
this is late 20's early 30's.
