I have a photograph of an American photographer, Frank Edwards [1872-1959], with a business in Huntingdon PA.
In case I don't attach the image correctly, you can see it on-line at

Based on his apparent age, his suit, his tie, etc ... can anyone give me a likely date for the image?
Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated

This chap looks about 50 so that would date the photo in the 1920's,but this looks
1940's/50's when he would be a 70-80 year old.Are you sure it's him & not his son?

His necktie looks short. Was that a style at a specific time?

Jim:
I had exactly the same thoughts about the date of the 1950s suit style compared to his looks. It certainly is Frank [1872-1959]

The short tie, belt instead of bracers & the windows in the building behind
which are louvre style rather than sash all have the 50's look.
