Evening all!
I'm trying to locate Isaac Henshaw born 1898 in the Ilkeston 1901 census. I think his father is also called Isaac, born around 1869, but I also think he died in 1899.
Any help would be fab,

looks as though Susan died in childbirth or soon after- death December quarter 1898 -Free BMD
and Elizabeth was only 4 months in 1891- will amend original posting

it's a pleasure - I can't spot ELizabeth Ellen in 1901- was wondering if she was the Elizabeth with Reuben and Elizabeth but there is a birth on Free BMD for 1892 ELizabeth so that could be that one. :-\

Hi,basford08, I,m also researching the henshaw family in Ilkeston. I checked the ST. Mary,s PR they are not in there. Have you looked at the Ilkeston website? the henshaw family arrived in ilkeston around 1600 the earliest henshaw is inthe PR 1615. and there is over the years a lot of them. Best wishes Clive

Hi, my connection to the Henshaw tree, is through Lois Henshaw b.1867 who married John Reynolds in 1888. Lois was the daughter of John Henshaw and Mary Ann White, they had the following children. Martha 1859,Arthur 1865, John William 1871, Elizabeth 1855, Enoch 1862. there will be somewhere a connection between our Henshaws, in Ilkeston, the first one in the PR is the marriage of Rowland Henshaw and Margery Ollibarston 1615.
