Title: Burial in St Cuthberts
Post by: Carol22 on Monday 04 August 08 18:31 BST (UK)
Hi,

I live in Yorkshire and my ancestors previous to 1840 came from Bedford, I have found on the memorial inscriptions site,  two ancesters who are buried in St. Cuthberts, I believe they are correct as dates etc, all fit with other info I have, I have been down to Bedford 3 times and I understand that a roundabout has taken some of the graves in St. Cuthberts, can anyone tell me how I can find out if these two graves are still there.

thanks

Caz

do churches or cemeteries normally take gravestones away to rest on any sides of church if roads took over? I saw plenty of old gravestones which were broken or need to put there for some reason everywhiere all over UK. I found mu ancestor's gravestone which was supposed to be in middle of church yard but it is now against the brick walls.
