Think this might be the one you want - very hard to read

Richard Marriner, son, 27, something or other Journeyman, born Droxford
James Marriner, head, 60, P.... Master, Waltham (could be Potter - certainly starts with Pott)
Martha, wife, 50, Droxford
plus a lodger
32 years old ? Reeves from Droxford, no occupation listed

Kind regards
tyr's wife

Hi,

Sorry to bring up an old post put I have the Switzers of Winchester in my tree, I don't have all my paperwork with me but thought I'd bump this so I don't forget!

Drop me a pm if you're still about and looking for information as I'm sure there's a connection somewhere.

Rachel

This is really silly but I can't work out how to send you a pm!  :-[

I'm hoping that your Mary Ann's dad was William, brother to Richard, Mary, Stephen and George and son to John and Jane, all from Winchester.

The best way I have my info laid out on is www.GenesReunited.co.uk, if you search for Switzers with Rachel being owner of the tree.

I think I'm allowed to say that.  ???

Di,

My research tells me that my Great Great Grandfather Richard Charles Mariner married Mary Ann Switzer (born 1836, Weeke nr Winchester, Hampshire, father William Switzer) on 3 May, 1856, Swanmore by Droxford, Hampshire.

Their children were:

James (born Droxford, Hampshire, 1856), Martha (born Droxford, Hamshire, 1858), Maria (born Hillpound, Hampshire, 1861),
Mark (born Winchester, Hampshire, 1865), George (born Winchester, Hampshire, 1865),
William (born Bishops Waltham, Hampshire, 1868), Eliza (born Preston, Candover, 1870), Henry (born Winchester, Hampshire 1874),
Edward (born Winchester, Hampshire, 1877)

James was my Great grandfather and he migrated to Australia in 1877 after marrying.

I'd be happy to hear of any further information about my family tree.

Peter
