Hi
Can anyone help with a bit of deciphering for me on the 1851 census.
For George Curtis b 1804 in Cold Aston living in Gt Barrington, Gloucestershire. His occupation is Stone Mason but there is more in brackets but I can't read it.
Class: HO107; Piece: 1970; Folio: 30; Page: 10; GSU roll: 87370.
Thanks Tracey

It reads in brackets;Master employing 7 men and 2 boys.

I think it says "7 men" over "master employ" (stone mason master employing 7 men)
wrjones - where did you see the 2 boys bit?

What looks like a figure 2 is underneath the word men.

That's the "r" of Master.
