Hi Benie
It sounds like Hill Street, Cefn Mawr, Wrexham to me. Maybe William will recognise the chapel. In the meantime, I'll check the names of them.

Nearest that I can find is Gorphwysfa a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel:

so the address would read: Gorphwysfa, Hill Street, Cefn Mawr, Wrexham

Yes I would agree Gadget and the Chapel is no longer standing, along with many others.

There used to be three Chapels on Hill Street.Gorphwsfa as mentioned, the one still standing, presently known as the United Reformed church, and there was what was known locally as Capel Spite known as Bethel nearer to the old School entrance. It was known as such for being built some fifty yards down the road from Gorphwsfa.apparently in direct competition.

What is most annoying is that I was in Hill Street and nearly took some photos of Gorphwsfa but didn't :(
it was hot!
