I am hoping someone can help me ID the uniform of the gentlemen in these photos. The one in the middle is a great uncle. George Henry Hind, who lived in Sheffield, Yorkshire. He is also featured in the second photo. Unfortunately these are the only versions of the photos I have so I cannot do a close up version of them.
I have searched through the ancestry.com data bases with no luck at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's the York and Lancaster Regiment I think.

There is a medal card at NA for him http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=3041313&queryType=1&resultcount=1
EDIT - maybe that's not him .....that one's Essex Regt !!

This could be his medal card

But this one's discharged as a corporal, not a sergeant.

It may well have been an acting rank or he may have been a naughty boy and demoted.

Thank you Shaun And Percy,
I don't think the medal card is his though as he always went by his first name of George. It's a tough one. My Aunts in England couldn't give me any info about his war time career. The guy on the left in the photo "may" be his brother James.... but they arenn't 100% certain about this.

There looks to be a medal ribbon?? on the guy in the centres tunic....could he have Boer War Service? He may have had a training role in WW1 and not gone abroad thus no campaign medals. There is a J Hind Y+L Reg on the medal rolls.

If I'm not mistaken his rank in the top photo is CSM or equivalent (3 chevrons with crown above).
Then in the bottom photo he's a Warrant Officer, rank insignia just visiable on his lower left sleeve.
