Could you explain exactly what you are looking for? There's lots of bit of information in your post but I'm not sure what you are hoping to find.

Are you trying to trace living relatives? If so do be careful about posting details of living, or possibly living, people on Rootschat.

Isaac Pitman was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, by the way. Cas has given you the 1881 census nad from that we can see that Charles Field was the younger of 2 brothers born at Briton Ferry and there was a third, still younger brother, born at Nailsea. Somereset, about 9 miles from Bristol. Charles' father was Isaac, age 30 born at Ston Easton, Somerest and his mother was Elizabeth, 34, born Brixham, Devon [it appears].
We find Isaac, age 20, also at Briton Ferry in 1871, boarding with another Devonian, John Blackford.
In 1891 we find Isaac remarried to a widow Phyllis [formerly Singleton]. the other children are with them and she has two daughters from a previous marriage, Hannah and Edith. Interesting is that Isaac's aged father is with them. He is Joseph age 70, also born Ston Easton. Charles is not with the family who are now at Raglan Lower.
Even the birth of Isaac is easy to find. He is registeed at Clutton, Somerset - March quarter 1851 Vol. 11 page 108.
We see him also in the 1851 and 1861 censuses - the easiest person to track that I have ever come across.
One clue to the Ted and family could be Charles brother, Edmund but those were normally Neds, not Teds.

Sir Isaac PITMAN was from Trowbridge, Wiltshire and taught in Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire.

Perhaps Bonnie will clarify for us what kind of help she is after.

Oh hello Milord Hack - cross-posting!

That's what I said a while ago but didn't really get a clear answer:

Tracing Isaac Pitman is fun as he insisted on using a phonetic spelling so we find him on one census as Eizak. However, you can verify it is him as his spouse is always Isabella. He has the most superb occupational descriptions.
Hi Arranroots - I was a long time typing that stuff, hence the overlap.
I think that Bonnie may be disappointed in finding the link with Sir Isaac. Most families have one or more of these legends. Ours was that we were related to Captain Matthew Webb, the first man to swim the channel. We ain't. On the other hand, at least one of the two links with England cricketers was true and the other still only a legend.
