Hi Charles and Rose nee Selwyn Poole are my GGrandparents,the daughter Doris Rose is born 09091899 in Cirencester,then the next birth I find for this couple is,Mary Poole 1911,Georgina Poole 1914 and Irene Poole 1917.Cannot find any children born between 1900-1911 when Mary is born can anyone find any more children for me please,find no children for 11 years a bit strange.Liz ??? ???

Perhaps Rose had some miscarriages. They seem quite good at spacing their children, from the 1911 ones they are about 3 years apart. There is only the one child Doris on the 1901 census. Or maybe Charles was away somewhere.

Strange but not unheard of. One of my cousins has an 11 year gap between her and her younger sister. She told me that her mother told her that she had many miscarriages during that time.

When did Charles and Rose marry? could Doris born 1899 be a child from a former relationship?

There are lots of Pooles born in Cirencester between 1899 and 1911, but the following might be of interest.
