My G/grandmother was Amy BURTENSHAW, b1899 Redhill, Surrey.
Amy's parent's Philip & Mary A, were hawkers, originally from Horsham, Sussex.
My G/grandfather was Arthur Burchell, b1897 Lodsworth, Sussex.
They had a daughter Mary Joyce, b1921 Horsham, Sussex.
If anyone as more info etc, please get in touch.
Thanks

Hi Suz,
I have access to the ancestry website, just want to see if there are any other users out there with the same or more information than I have.
As you know there is always snippets of info you may not have.
Have recently bought my Grandmothers birth cert, so might buy her parents ones next.
I do have another question for you though, is there to find out if someone got married, though I don't have a name, it's just a possibilty at the mo?
Thanks
David

I can only think of trawling the complete BMD -I assume you have one name?
It also depends on what year - there are electroal rolls if you know where they lived
I assume you are on Genes Reunited , as there is a David with Amy Burtenshaw in his tree There is also a Jayne researching the same Amy

Yes am in all those, but it never hurts to ask other users. Nice if you can get definate confirmation that you are on the right track and not going astray or barking up the wrong tree (so to speak).

Hi, it's just possible that your great grandfather is a relation of my late husband. His father was a William Burchell married to an Ellen Blackman. If this is the same as your research can you let me know on E-Mail address removed for safety reasons - Please use the Private Message Facility (after you have made 3 posts)- Global Mod
Thanks
