Title: Help...or am I going mad?

Rightyho, I have discovered that my Rainbow family of Yardley Hastings have connections with a family called Dunkley. Now I SWEAR that yesterday I saw something about someone called Dunkley killing someone called Rainbow? Or vice versa?!? I have google'd my heart out but to no avail...but I am convinced that I defintely saw it and that I wasn't just having a very vivid dream! Anyone able to help? Please :(

  I can see accounts of the murder of John Dunkley age 36? at Yardley Hastings in 1840.

 he was game keeper to the Marquis of Northampton but his murderers are givenas James Underwood age 21(wonder if he was one of mine ::)) Joseph Bedford age 21 & William Downing age 31.Seems they were transported for life .

          See what else I can find.

I have connections (very distantly mind you) to the George James Underwood who was one of the murderers. He was eventually sentenced and charged with manslaughter for shooting John Dunkley and was transported to Tasmania. The killing took place on 6th Oct 1840 in Yardley Hastings.

I have quite a bit of information on James, but there's no family connection for me for Dunkley (not that I know of) so I can't help you there.

I am descended from Joseph Bedford who was one of the 3 charged with his death.  I don't have info on John Dunkley though I'm sorry.
