Title: Cant attach photos

I have been trying to attach photos to the photo restoration reply and get an error message that the file name has been used. Has anyone any suggestions as to how to do this function right?
I want tohelp some folks but cant and I am getting a bit frustrated.

Is this one of your own photos?

If its one you have d/l from this site just alter its name in your picture program

Can't be that easy??
Must be something else wrong - wait for Trystan!!

Thanks for replying.
I didnt get the photo you were referring to.
I m not sure whats going on with these photos.  I tried again to another posting and got back the change file error again.

Sorry Ted - it's me - ment is it one of your own pics your trying to put on?!

Check the size - the maxi is 300k -I think

Hi Keith,
Yes, sorry I misunderstood, it was 2 of my pics, I got them down to 135kb each.  The error I am getting is rename file.?????

Hi Ted,

Every time you upload a file to RootsChat it must have a unique filename.  So if it has already been posted on the site,  or if you have tried to post it,  you need to alter the name.  It can be as simple as adding a number to the end to signify a version,  but it must be unique.

Just to say that Kazza hasn't logged onto RootsChat since Monday, 7th November 2005. Therefore, if she doesn't reply it certainly isn't the fact she's ignoring you. The only thing I can suggest is if you send her a personal message she might receive an email notification. If she's changed her email address during this time, she won't !  :(

To send her a message, you might have to make one or two more replies to enable the PM system - allowing you to see the small green scroll (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/Themes/history/images/im_off.gif) under her username. Then, click on the scroll.
