Hello :)
I am trying to identify Thomas Birch, possibly in the Royal Field Artillery, with a Sheffield connection. Could somebody do me a SDGW lookup please.
Thanks in advance
Robert.

Just gone through SDGW " T Birch Sheffield" Nanny Jan had the only hit
T Birch 9th KOYLI Born Enlisted Sheffield.
The RFA Lad was Manchester and shropshire.

Thanks for the lookup. Unfortunately I cannot identify him. He is remembered on a local memorial as "Gunner Birch T" below R.F.A.
However the regiments listed on this memorial have been very hit & miss.

Could it be a J??
Just searched SDGW and out of all the Birchs theres only one Gunner JH Birch 795789 kia 17/10/17 Born Enlisted Sheffield.

Hello Ady,
Its definitely a T, but with the errors I have found so far, it might have been a J. What about spelling it Burch?
Could you also confirm that this man has a Sheffield connection - William Wadsworth, service no. 39410, Royal Field Artillery.
Cheers
Robert.
