My Grandmother was Lillian Rose Palmer who came to Australia from Somerset England. She was a Romany Gypsy. Her mother was Caroline Grinter who married John Palmer. Have you heard of these names?
regards,
Sue

I'm new at this game, so bear with me. There is a register in book form of convicts who came to australia readily available, maybe it is online. There is a convict group as part of the west australian genealogical society (WAGS) which will come up on google under WAGS, they could tell you how to access info for another state

Ozgypsy hasn't been online since October 2008 so you may not get a reply for her.
