Looking for Paul Townsend (born 1879 Clifton Pendlebury Lancashire) and Emma Elizabeth Townsend (nee Wall) believed to have emigrated to America in 1900 ish. No other info other than Paul used to frequently return home (grandad said wearing a big hat!!)

Do you have an exact date of birth?  There's a WWI Draft Registration Card for a Paul Carrington Townsend born 3 Jan. 1879 who was a citizen of Great Britain.  Any chance that's your guy?

Ellis Island has a Paul C. Townsend age 18 from London in 1897 but the entry is crossed out on the manifest.
