The 1746-1759 extracts from the Belfast Newslatter are one of the new items which are on the website of the Blair Society for Genealogical Research. www.kinsleuth.com/belnews/1746-1759.htm

Thanks for the link Christopher.
There's a lot to take in and understand. I have researched my Blair family back to David Blair born Dundonald, Ayr, 1750, but have now come to a halt.
I still need to research my Williamsons who came from the North of Ireland too. You very kindly gave me directions earlier which I have yet to take up.
I have had many mysteries to be solved in this part of my family. I will continue to research them.
Kind regards,
Judy

Hello,
One of my husband's lines is Blair. They migrated to Austin Texas eventually. Wonder if this is familiar to you. Some research has been done within the family, and if memory serves, they are believed to have come to the U.S. from Scotland. I'm not sure of the dates, but if this sounds familiar I can find out.
Good searching.

Let me welcome you Magha to the best genealogy website on the internet! ;) ;) ;)
Drop a few lines of detail down here and let your story unfold. If there are any discrepancies or further queries which you lack then someone will surely assist you further.
We all look forward to hearing about the Texan Blairs.
There is a big following for the Blair Clan and I think they have annual meets too.
Give Lake Travis a wave from me and my husband! :D :D :D
Good luck with your research and look forward to hearing the detail.
Judy
