Title: WW1 postcards how do I preserve
Post by: rosebud2 on Monday 30 June 08 03:39 BST (UK)
can anybody tell me the best way to keep these postcards I have 2 from WW1 they are embroidered would they be ok in a photo frame? my mother had them in with her photos and they have gotten a bit grubby, the first one is my great uncle who died at Gommecourt France the second one I am not sure could be my ggrandmothers nephew. Can anyone tell me what regiment the second card is.

Thanks Margaret

Hi Margaret,

They're lovely French silk WW1 postcards, I have some too.  I'm sure they'd look lovely framed, but need special mounting

These may help
