I'm looking for any info on Thomas Douglas born c1755 and his wife Margaret Gowrie born c1757. Both as far as I know were born in Lintrathen.
They had a daughter Jean Douglas born c1780.
Anything would be great.
Thanks
James

Hi James........saw your note on the Rootschat forum. Thomas DOUGLAS and Margaret GOWRIE are in my tree. Their daughter, Kathrine, b in 1782, married John WILSON in Lintrathen on 17 Jun 1805. They had 8 children, the 6th Helen, b in 1813, married William ROUGH in Forfar in 1838. William is my g-grandfather. I have lots of data on this line if you are interested.

Sorry James.................
My Lintrathen transcriptions don't go back back beyond 1770.
I have a record of the burial of a David Gowrie, aged 80, in 1788. He is purported to be the son of John Gowrie, sometime miller. Possible father of Margaret.
