I have an old wrinkled & scratched picture of my dad. Then another old faded picture of grandparents that needs color ( black & white). Thank you very much. You all are such talented people. Also, don't get upset if I don't respond right away. I'm in the US. I think we are about 5 hrs behind you. Ruth

Yes, they are lovely people and do such a fantastic job. Most of the timeit's hard for me to decide which one. Did you mean no one was on the boards for 4 hours? I'm in the states and it's just 5:08 in the evening. I usually on the boards in the morning whic is probably about noon your way. Thank you for the warm welcome Ruth

Hi Ruth,
No, I meant that this board covers all the time zones, California is 8 hours back, New York and Canada are different again, as are Australia and New Zealand, not forgetting Europe which is 1 hour ahead of the UK. Anyone might be on here anytime as a result!
Rootschatters are all over the world it is the best site on the web for nice helpful people! They also have the best photo restorers of the lot!

Hi I am on Long Island in New York. We have been lucky as those storms have gone north and west of us.

Actually, it hasn't been to bad here. The flooding hit west of us and in southern Indiana. We received 8 inches of rain one night but that has been a month ago.

Hi Ruth and Irene,
Lovely restore Irene, I saw the pictures of those flood on TV, they looked awful!
My family are in California and friends in Nevada, miles away and another time zone.

It is awful and what is worse. Gas prices are bad enough , now the food goes up too. California and Nevad are having high temps over 100 degrees F.

Hi Paulatoo, Every part of that picture was cloned from many different coloured photographs, resized then blended with the blur tool, I can't manage colouring yet. :-[ ;)
Bill.

Bill, if it works....don't knock it!
I use Vista Paint and an awful lot of copy and paste, all be it from the same photo, then I blur and smudge from a photo program...not into the clever stuff yet, still got my L plates up.

That is defininately an excellent job. Thank you so much.
