Hi everyone,
I wonder if i could pick your brains,i have an ancester called Richard Coombes/Combs brn abt 1797 in Headley Hampshire. In parish records in 1833 his wife Harrriot is refered to as wife of Richard, transported these last two years, now ,i have searched online lists for Oz and nobody matches for that time, can anyone else find anything?,if not,how could i try and trace records of his trial?

Can't remember the Christian names but there were Coombes brothers, I think 1 was Peter, who were transported along with my own Fullick family. 4 x great grandfather George Fullick and a Coombes went on the Norfolk in 1829. A few years later 2 of George's sons and a brother as well as more Coombes went as well, Augusta Jessie. I believe the 2 families were related. I have a thick folder of information. Please contact for more information. Spelling varied depending who wrote it.

Hi,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

Just to let you know that the original poster has not been on the forum since 2010. You could check the Surname Interests boards, under "Your Tools" at the bottom of this page, to see if anyone else is reearching this family.

Good Luck  :)

Regards,
Daisy
