I am trying to find death details of Thomas W Nelson b 1869 in Thornaby, Stockton. He married a Esther Wharton in 1894 and friends tell me he died in 1910 but I cannot any record of this. I have however obtained a copy of his father's death cert ie Charles Nelson d 1922 in Crook and Thomas W is the informant also living in Crook, so he was still around in 1922. However I still cannot find any death details post 1922. Any help, advice or tips would be greatfully appreciated. Regards, Geoff

Looks like you will have to trawl through the indexes, quarter by quarter, until you come across a name with the correct age, in the correct area, although the age is dependant on the informant (and can be 'out') and he could have moved to another area.
Freebmd is not complete and is only up to about the 1920s as yet. so you will need to go through the full indexes.

Hello Geoff.
Here are a couple of gravestone inscriptions for Nelson.
I think they may be part of your family.
In loving memory of our dear mother and father, Ann Nelson of Crook, died August/11/1930 aged 54 years.
Thomas Nelson, died November/30/1941 aged 72 years.
In loving memory of Margaret Nelson, the beloved wife of Thomas nelson of Wheatbottom, Crook, who died August/6/1895 aged 24 years.
