Hi Ann,
I live in Leeds, there is no Leeds Family History Society but the Leeds Central Library has many Archives and I am happy to see if they have what you need.
Can I just clarify what you are after? Are the second 2 deaths both in 1853? Sorry I am being a bit gormless. ::)
Best wishes,
Elin

Hello from NZ down under. I wonder if anyone could look up the burial index in the Leeds Library/archives for a John Dawson and Ann (e) (ie) Dawson. I would like to confirm if they were buried at St Stephens church yard in Kirkstall. Their deaths were D 09.04.1867 UK &John), D 17.04.1868 UK (Ann)
cheers

I have had a look at the records for Kirkstall St Stephen and they end in 1837 :-\ I did find a John DAWSON d.1867 in Beckett St, Cemetery. ???

thanks wildgoose, I am trying to follow a lead from a c1918 photo of a Dawson headstone at St Stephens I think I will have to deal direct with them. They have been helpful in the past. They have a data base which some kind person put together. It just takes longer to do it that way, but they folks at St Stephens are really great and accommodating.

I can recommend a very good site for info on the Leeds and Yorkshire area,
go to http://www.yorkshireindexers.co.uk/forums/index.php.
You will find them very helpful

Sometime ago you gave me some information about my John Dawson d 1867 and was buried at Beckett Street. I was wondering where Beckett Street was in relation to St Stephens and Otley. He had a wife called Ann (e) (ie) who died a couple of years later. My contact in Leeds failed to find the headstone which I had a photo taken of at St Stephens. It has probably fallen down or may be it was an error by the relation who noted the name against the photo. Are you able to help me with more information before we come over to the UK in a couple of weeks time to visit St Stephens again
